Callum Turner plays chess with a Rhodesian ridgeback for Louis Vuitton

Callum Turner has a new co-star, and it has four legs.
The British actor fronts the spring 2027 Trunk campaign for Louis Vuitton, the French luxury house, alongside a Rhodesian ridgeback, a large short-coated breed. The capsule collection, a small limited range that sits apart from the main seasonal show, was designed by Pharrell Williams. The casting was reported by WWD. Campaigns of this kind are the photographs and short films that fashion houses use in shops, in the press and online to introduce clothes and bags.
Photographer Gregory Harris shot the pictures in New York City. Stills show Turner posed with the dog at close quarters. A short film goes a step further. It shows the pair seated at a chess board, mid-game.
Turner became a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador, a contracted public face who wears the house for appearances and photographs, in 2024. He previously appeared for the label walking a pack of dogs. That earlier shoot set an animal theme for his work with the house. Dogs keep returning to its menswear imagery.
That history continued with the Spring-Summer 2026 men's pre-collection, a between-seasons range shown ahead of the main calendar. That campaign was fronted by Turner and England footballer Jude Bellingham. It featured a variety of dogs alongside the two men, according to Yahoo Style UK. Pre-collections are smaller drops that arrive in stores before the main seasonal deliveries.
Away from fashion, Turner has two major acting jobs ahead. He will play the lead in the series adaptation of Neuromancer, the novel by William Gibson, for Apple TV+, the streaming service. A series adaptation takes a book and remakes it across several episodes. He will also star opposite Tom Hanks in The Comebacker, a baseball drama.
The chess game is played for laughs. Neither player is trying to look fierce.
For fans, the picture is straightforward. Turner will stay visible on billboards as well as on screen.
