Ubisoft plans to close RedLynx and cut 70 roles in Singapore

Ubisoft plans to close its Finland-based RedLynx studio and cut 70 roles at Ubisoft Singapore.
The RedLynx closure would affect around 52 staff. The Singapore move is a restructure and downsizing of that office, with 70 layoffs planned, according to details reported by Video Games Chronicle on 14 October 2026.
RedLynx is the studio behind the Trials motorbike platform series. Ubisoft has assessed that the team is not currently working on a new project. It concluded that resizing the studio alone would not keep it sustainable.
The proposed closure is not yet final. In Finland, it must go through change negotiations, the mandatory discussions between an employer and staff representatives before redundancies can proceed.
The Singapore cuts are separate. Ubisoft plans to keep an office there but with a smaller team. No new project detail was given for that office in the report.
The proposals follow earlier rounds of cuts. In October 2025, Ubisoft RedLynx put forward a restructuring proposal that could have cut up to 60 positions, with collective talks with staff due to begin on 30 October, as reported by Game Developer. That figure has now been superseded by the October 2026 plan for around 52 roles at the studio.
Ubisoft has been reducing its headcount across the organisation for some time. In June 2026, the company closed two studios and cut up to 380 staff as part of a wider restructuring, as reported by Kotaku.
For staff, this means a wait for formal process to run its course. Jobs at RedLynx are at risk until the Finnish negotiations conclude. Roles in Singapore are set to go as that studio is reduced in size.
