Ubisoft to Shut Down Rainbow Six Mobile in January 2027

Ubisoft is shutting down Rainbow Six Mobile. The free-to-play mobile shooter will go offline in January 2027, under a year after its full launch.
The shutdown date is 16 January 2027, GameSpot reported on 8 October 2026. The game will remain available until 15 January 2027, according to Ubisoft.
That gives players a little over three months from the announcement to keep playing. No new end date has been given. The closure applies to the mobile game only.
Rainbow Six Mobile had a long road to release. It soft-launched in 2023, a limited early release in selected regions used to test servers and systems before a wider rollout. It then launched fully in February 2026.
That puts its full run at just under 11 months. Short, but not unusual for mobile. Many mobile titles run as live-service games, updated in seasons after launch, and close quickly if they do not find a large enough audience.
Ubisoft said the team behind Rainbow Six Mobile will move on to other long-term strategic projects. The French organisation did not name those projects or announce a direct replacement for the game.
For fans, this means time is limited. Players can still download and play the game until mid-January. After the shutdown date, it will no longer be playable.
Ubisoft has not detailed refunds, final events or what will happen to in-game purchases. Players who spent money in the game should watch the game's official channels for instructions on the final weeks.
