The full company for the musical Pride at London's Bridge Theatre has been confirmed, with performances starting on 12 November 2026.

The announcement, reported by WhatsOnStage, sets the cast for the London run. It will play at the Bridge after its first life at the National Theatre.

The musical is based on the true story told in the 2014 film Pride. It is set during the 1984 miners' strike. It follows lesbian and gay activists who form Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners to support a mining community in South Wales.

It is developed and directed by Matthew Warchus, who also directed the film. The book and lyrics are by Stephen Beresford, who wrote the film's screenplay. That keeps the stage version with its original screen creators.

Samuel Barnett will play Jonathan. Ryan Kopel joins the company as Mark. Dan Hand plays Bromley, Carl Spencer plays Reggie and Grant Neal plays Mr Bromley.

The company also includes Matthew Durkan as Mike, Gillian Elisa as Gwen, Daniel Forrester as Carl, Robin Hayward as Martin and Chris Jenkins as Gethin. Barnett, Durkan, Elisa and Jenkins are among the performers continuing with the production to the Bridge.

Further casting includes Darren Lawrence as Cliff, Catherine Morris as Mrs Bromley, Sarah Pugh as Siân, Caroline Sheen as Maureen and Mared Williams as Margaret. Courtney Stapleton plays Steph and Matthew Woodyatt plays Dai. The role of Hefina will be shared by Kirsty Malpass and Madeleine Morgan.

Seven swings complete the company. Swings are performers who cover several different roles across a show. Joe Boyle, Billy Cullum, Ben Heathcote, Michael Larcombe, Sorelle Marsh, Shannon Quarini and Samantha Thomas take those roles, with Thomas as dance captain and Larcombe as assistant dance captain.

The run is a transfer, meaning the production moves from its original subsidised home into a commercial London theatre. It is presented by P&P Productions in association with the National Theatre, according to the National Theatre.

For audiences, the practical details matter. The Bridge Theatre lists the run until 8 May 2027, with a running time of 2 hours 40 minutes including an interval. It gives an age recommendation of 12 and over. Official tickets are priced from £30, listed by the Bridge Theatre.
