Tom Roebuck signs new two-year deal to stay with Sale Sharks

Tom Roebuck is staying with Sale Sharks. The 25-year-old winger has signed a new two-year deal that keeps him at the club until the end of the 2028-29 season, as reported by BBC Sport.
Sale's own newsroom lists the announcement as 'ROEBUCK SIGNS NEW SHARKS DEAL' (Sale Sharks). The club is led by director of rugby Alex Sanderson.
Roebuck is a Sale product. He came through the club's academy system, which develops young players for the first team, and made his senior debut in 2018.
He has since made 114 appearances for Sharks. A winger — the wide player whose main job is to finish scoring chances — he has crossed for 54 tries. A try is worth five points in rugby union.
He has not featured yet this season. Roebuck missed Sale's first three league games of the 2026-27 campaign with a calf strain.
His club form has brought international recognition. Roebuck made his senior England debut against Japan in 2024 and has won 12 caps, the term used for international appearances. He was one of 25 players handed an enhanced England Elite Player Squad contract for the 2025-26 season.
For supporters, this means continuity. Roebuck knows the club, the league and the Test arena. Keeping a proven finisher tied down gives Sale one less question to answer.
