Peak looks to be climbing to a new platform.

The viral co-op climbing game from Aggro Crab and Landfall appears to be on its way to PlayStation 5. The console version has not been formally announced, but a new age-rating listing points to it, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.

The clue comes from the Entertainment Software Rating Board, the US organisation that assigns age ratings to games. Its entry rates PEAK as E10+, meaning Everyone aged 10 and up, with Fantasy Violence listed as a content descriptor. Crucially, the listing names PlayStation 5 in its interactive elements entry, which notes Users Interact, according to the ESRB.

Peak was released on Steam on June 16 and has so far been a PC-only title. It is a co-op survival climbing game made in collaboration between the two studios, built for online play with up to four players working together.

In the game, players control characters stranded on a mysterious island. Played from a first-person perspective, which means you see through your climber's eyes, it asks groups to scale mountains, collect tools and items, and keep each other alive. The ESRB describes the visuals as highly stylised and flags some slapstick hazards, from binding spiders to zombies that grab players and slam them to the ground.

It has been a breakout. Aggro Crab and Landfall say the game has sold more than 10 million copies. It also won Best Multiplayer Game at the Golden Joystick Awards and the Better With Friends award at The Steam Awards 2025.

What makes this stand out is the speed of the rise. A small co-op idea about climbing together turned into one of the year's most talked-about multiplayer games. For PlayStation owners, this listing is the first solid sign they may soon get a turn on the mountain.
