Christa Campbell launches XTA Media with Three Thousand Capital backing

Producer Christa Campbell has launched XTA Media, a new company built to make film, television and other media.
The news was reported on 14 October by Deadline, which said the venture has seed funding from Three Thousand Capital. Seed funding is the first outside money into a new business, used to hire staff and get projects moving. Three Thousand Capital is described as a private investment firm based in London and Denmark.
Campbell previously ran Campbell Grobman Films with Lati Grobman. XTA Media is her new solo organisation, and it is designed to cover the full chain from idea to screen. It will acquire IP, develop original and adapted material, finance productions and produce for film, TV and other platforms. IP stands for intellectual property, the underlying rights — a book, a character, a life story — that a project is based on.
Two projects are already linked to Campbell. One is a new John Rambo film, built around the long-running action character. The other is Shout It Out Loud, a biopic about the rock band KISS. A biopic is a drama based on a real person's life or a group's story. That film is set up at Lionsgate, which means it is being developed with that studio as its home.
The money behind XTA Media comes from outside the traditional studio system. Three Thousand Capital has completed more than 100 direct private investments since 2012 across entertainment, music, the platform economy and big tech, according to Deadline. Its early-stage investments have included Uber, Airbnb, Shazam, SoundCloud, Duolingo, Spotify and X, formerly Twitter. Those names will mean more to most readers than any production slate, and they explain the kind of backer this is.
The firm is also moving into features itself, with a film in Scandinavia in development and aimed at a theatrical release in 2027. Theatrical means a cinema release, rather than going straight to streaming.
What makes this stand out is the combination. Campbell offers a working producer's pipeline, with franchise action on one side and a studio-backed music story on the other. Three Thousand Capital offers capital from technology and music investing, plus its own ambitions as a filmmaker. For fans, this means both titles are ones to watch on the development slate rather than films with release dates.
