Adelaide now has a Hilltop Hoods Lane.

The City of Adelaide unveiled the named laneway in the city's central business district on Oct. 15, giving the Australian hip-hop trio a permanent address in their home city Billboard.

The lane sits just off Hindley Street. It was formerly known as Clubhouse Laneway, in a busy late-night part of the city centre.

All three members were there to see it. Suffa, Pressure and DJ Debris attended the launch ceremony for the renamed site.

The site carries two large-scale murals by Vans the Omega. Vans the Omega is an Adelaide artist Rolling Stone AU, whose works were unveiled as part of the launch.

Hilltop Hoods Lane is the sixth addition to the City of Adelaide's City of Music Laneways trail. The trail already includes tributes to Sia Furler, Cold Chisel, No Fixed Address, Paul Kelly and The Angels.

The project had been in the works for months. The City of Adelaide published its announcement, titled 'Hilltop Hoods honoured with City of Music Laneway', on March 5 City of Adelaide, with the Hindley Street laneway listed for launch in 2026.

What makes this stand out is the company it keeps. The trail links very different sounds and generations, from rock and country to pop and First Nations music. The Hoods, an Australian trio The Music Network, now give hip-hop a fixed point on that map.

For fans, this means a photo stop with a postcode. For the city, it is another stop on a walking route that ties live music rooms, clubs and late-night streets to the acts that started out in them.
