Three shorts by Brady Corbet, Kleber Mendonça Filho and Céline Sciamma have joined the international sales catalogue of Paris-based MK2 Films.

The company unveiled the acquisitions during Lyon's Lumière Film Festival and its International Classic Film Market (MIFC), Variety reported on 15 October 2026. International sales means licensing films territory by territory to distributors, festivals and platforms.

Sciamma's entry is "Tutti Frutti." It runs 44 minutes and is built from personal footage the director has shot since 2022. The film was commissioned by the Centre Pompidou and produced by Lilies Films. It premiered in Paris in June during a retrospective devoted to Sciamma and later won the Jury Prize at the 2026 Villa Medici Film Festival, according to Variety.

Mendonça Filho's entry is "South of Tehran." Nine minutes long. It features Iranian director Jafar Panahi recalling his earliest encounters with cinema. It was produced by Emilie Lesclaux and Film at Lincoln Center and shot during the 2025 New York Film Festival. It premiered at that festival as the inaugural project of NYFF Encounters, a new strand for short-form work.

Corbet's entry is the oldest of the three. "Protect You + Me" dates from 2008 and was shot by cinematographer Darius Khondji. It received an Honorable Mention at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

What makes this stand out is the company behind it. MK2 Films is an independent cinema studio based in Paris and active in international sales, production and distribution. Founded in 1974, its collection comprises more than 1,000 fiction, animation and documentary works, according to the company.

The three shorts sit in a short-film catalogue that also includes Jia Zhangke's "Torino Shadow," which screened at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. Shorts do not follow the same release path as features. A sales agent handles festival bookings, broadcast deals and non-theatrical licences to keep them in circulation.
