Starlight Festival sells out Giza debut, sets 2027 return

The inaugural Starlight Festival sold out two nights at the Great Pyramids of Giza on Oct. 9 and 10. Organisers have confirmed it will return on Nov. 5 and 6, 2027. The event was organised by EXIT with P+US, the electronic music platform from Venture Lifestyle, as reported by Billboard.
That billing makes it the first multi-day, multi-stage electronic music festival staged at Giza. Multi-day means the programme runs across separate dates with different sets each night. Multi-stage means several performance areas run at the same time, so audiences choose between artists. It was also the largest electronic music event at the site since Jean-Michel Jarre performed there in 1999.
It sold out. More than 60 international and regional artists played across the weekend. Attendees travelled from 114 countries, which makes the crowd as international as the lineup.
Belgian DJ and producer Charlotte de Witte made her Egyptian debut at the festival. The bill also included British DJ Michael Bibi and Swiss duo Adriatique. The festival's own listing names further acts including Cloonee and Enrico Sangiuliano, according to Starlight Festival.
The sets ran across the two main nights, with separate opening and closing events around them, according to Starlight Festival. Giza was the final stop on EXIT's eight-event international tour. That tour context explains the scale of the production, from staging and sound to crew and travel.
What makes this stand out is the combination of site and format. A heritage location that rarely hosts this type of event. A first edition built to run over consecutive nights rather than a single concert. For fans, this means a fixed date to plan around, with more than a year to run before the pyramids light up again.
