Fans will decide part of the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Organisers have created Fan Favorite Artist, a new award decided entirely by public vote. The first winner will be revealed live during the ceremony on October 22. Voting is already open, giving fans a week to push their favourite to the top before the live announcement.

The five finalists are Fuerza Regida, Karol G, Peso Pluma, Prince Royce and Tito Double P, according to Billboard. They are also the five most-nominated artists at this year's show, Telemundo reported. It is the only fan-voted category in the 2026 programme.

The winner will be announced during the live show on October 22. The ceremony airs on Telemundo and Peacock from 8 p.m. ET, the evening slot on the United States East Coast. It comes from the James L. Knight Center in Miami and is produced by Telemundo and MBS Special Events.

Voting is open now at Telemundo.com/vota. Fans can cast up to 10 votes per day using a Google account. They can cast another 10 votes per day with an NBCUniversal profile, making a maximum of 20 votes per person per day. The two login routes are counted separately, so a fan using both can double the daily total.

Only some fans are eligible. Voters must be aged 13 or older and live in the United States, the District of Columbia or Puerto Rico. Voting closes on October 22 at approximately 7 p.m. ET, about an hour before the broadcast starts.

The artist with the highest number of valid votes will take the prize. That count decides the first-ever Fan Favorite Artist winner, with no other judging involved.

The shortlist tracks the wider nominations battle. Peso Pluma leads the finalists for the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards, followed by Tito Double P, Fuerza Regida and Karol G, according to Billboard. Prince Royce completes the five-strong lineup.

For fans, this means the result favours organisation as much as enthusiasm. A daily voting routine matters here. With the cutoff so close to airtime, the lead can shift right up to show night.
