Netflix has released the first trailer for In A Holidaze, a festive time-loop romance starring Maddie Ziegler as Mae, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film streams exclusively on Netflix from Dec. 2, The Hollywood Reporter reported. That date puts it at the front of the December holiday slate.
The story follows Mae, a directionless twentysomething who gets stuck reliving the same holiday after a romantic mistake, according to Netflix Tudum. The trailer picks up the mishap fast. Mae kisses the wrong brother while caught in the loop, as shown in the preview described by Yahoo Entertainment.
Netflix describes the film as a festive romantic comedy about second chances, tangled feelings and a chosen family, in its official trailer posted to YouTube under the title "In a Holidaze | Official Trailer | Netflix". The service categorises it as a Holiday Romance.
Ziegler leads an ensemble with familiar faces. Rob Lowe plays Benny, a family friend, while Graham Phillips plays Andrew and Elias Kacavas plays Theo, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Patton Oswalt and Jackie Sandler play Mae's parents.
Tiffany Paulsen wrote and directed the film, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Paulsen's credits include romantic comedies built for the holiday shelf.
The film is based on the romance novel of the same name by Christina Lauren, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Christina Lauren is the pen name for writers Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings. This is the first onscreen adaptation of a Christina Lauren work.
