GTA 6 Launch Trailer Arrives Without Boobie Ike

Boobie Ike is nowhere to be seen in the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI.
The club owner is absent from Rockstar Games' final pre-release trailer, published on October 15, 2026. He did appear in the earlier extended look trailer for the game, according to Gamespot.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to Rockstar Games. The open-world crime series returns to Vice City, a fictional city in the state of Leonida. Its story follows two protagonists, Jason and Lucia.
The launch trailer was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, according to its YouTube description (YouTube). That label means the footage was recorded running on the console hardware, rather than pre-rendered elsewhere. Rockstar lists the video on its Grand Theft Auto VI media page alongside three others.
Boobie Ike is the owner of the Jack of Hearts club in the game. Rockstar describes his backstory as a move from the streets to a legitimate business empire spanning real estate, a strip club and a recording studio, according to Rockstar Games. That is all business, no review score.
The wider media page is an organised catalogue. It lists four videos, including the launch trailer, an extended look and Trailer 2. It also lists nine clips, including the official cover art animation and separate clips for Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, plus 99 screenshots and 25 pieces of artwork and wallpapers.
For players keeping track, this means one thing. Boobie was visible enough to get a name, a club and a backstory. He is simply not in this last cut.
