Nelly and Ashanti are packing for a wedding. The trailer for season two of Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together shows the couple preparing for and travelling to the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The Peacock series returns on Nov. 19.
The trailer was released on Thursday, Oct. 15, Billboard reported. In the clip, Nelly says he and Ashanti have been invited to the Swift-Kelce wedding. He calls himself a Swiftie. It is a brief line that frames the trip to come.
The connection between Nelly and Swift goes back several years. Nelly has joined Swift on stage during her tours. In a 2015 interview with Rolling Stone, he described her as “like a little sister.” The new trailer does not share a date or venue for the wedding, staying with Nelly and Ashanti as they get ready to attend.
Other familiar faces pass through the preview. Fat Joe, Ja Rule and Jadakiss all appear in the trailer footage. The scenes point to conversation and time together rather than a concert. No extra detail about their roles has been confirmed.
