Drunken Goddess Reflux public demo cancelled for closed sessions

Alliance Arts has cancelled the public demo of Drunken Goddess Reflux three days before its planned release date of Monday, October 19.
The publisher announced the change on October 16 via its AllianceArtsEN account on X. It will run closed online play sessions for a limited number of participants instead of an open download Alliance Arts on X.
Alliance Arts said it could not properly manage planned restrictions on posting and streaming gameplay videos with its current team. It also cited concern that content from the demo, a limited trial version released before launch, could be used to quickly imitate or replicate the game's presentation and gameplay with AI or other tools and released before launch.
Participation in the closed sessions requires reviewing and agreeing in advance to participation requirements and rules for posting and streaming gameplay videos. Alliance Arts is handling applications and session details through its official Discord, a chat-based community app, where it will also collect impressions and feedback.
Drunken Goddess Reflux is described on Steam as a shot-glass Russian roulette game with a demon who loves the player enough to kill them Steam store page. It is set in Hell's bar, Pandemonium. Players must survive the night across seven flavours of ruin. The stated win condition is blunt. Get the demon wasted and make her spill her soul.
Alliance Arts describes the premise as "puke or be puked on for your soul." The full game has a release date announced as December 8, 2026 Automaton Media. Credits listed for the game include WHO YOU (Fuyuki Hayashi) as producer and scenario writer, odyk as art director, character designer and animator, and Nanahira for voice work.
The theme song is titled "DEMON'S SHOT", with composition and arrangement by Aiobahn +81, lyrics by DEMONDICE and vocals by DEMONDICE. The publisher titled its October 16 notice "Change to the Demo Release Plan for Drunken Goddess ...".
For players waiting on a trial, this means no open demo on October 19. Access now depends on a Discord application and prior agreement to the streaming rules.
