Celebrity gossip's most secretive inbox just got a new business partner. Daylight has added Deux U, the weekly podcast from Deuxmoi, to its advertising sales portfolio, meaning the network will now sell advertising around the show. Deadline

Deux U is hosted by the anonymous creator behind the @deuxmoi celebrity news account. It is listed as a society and culture show from Deuxmoi and Audacy, and it is released on a weekly schedule. Podnews

For listeners, that sales job is largely invisible. A sales portfolio is simply the group of shows a company represents to advertisers. In practice it means pitching agencies, agreeing prices and placing ad messages inside episodes.

Deux U joins a crowded shelf. Daylight's sales line-up already includes The Shawn Ryan Show, The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart, Club Random with Bill Maher, Jillian on Love and Street You Grew Up On. That mix spans interview shows, comedy and relationship talk, all shows that live or die on loyal weekly audiences.

Daylight is led by president Ben Curtis. The wider organisation also includes QCODE, its scripted podcast division, which makes fiction podcasts with actors, scripts and sound design rather than chat.

The Deuxmoi deal follows a busy year of expansion for Daylight Media. In February, The Daily Beast signed with the company for ad sales, distribution and monetisation of its podcast slate, in other words getting its shows onto listening apps and turning those listens into revenue. What makes this stand out is the pairing of gossip and infrastructure. Deuxmoi built its following on short, reader-sent sightings and quick posts. A weekly audio show gives that same conversation more time, and a dedicated sales team gives it a steadier commercial base.

For fans, this means little changes in the feed. Same anonymous host. Same weekly drop. The change sits behind the scenes, in who sells the ads and keeps the show funded.
