AllDay Project spoke to Billboard backstage in Hong Kong about friendship, musical differences and why its debut single still fits. The interview was published on Oct. 16, after the group performed at the second annual TMElive International Music Awards. The awards ran Aug. 22-23 in the city. Billboard

The group is a coed South Korean act, a mixed-gender line-up of three women and two men. They took the stage at Kai Tak Stadium as part of the awards programme, which was organised for its second year. The stadium date put them in front of an international audience gathered for the two-day event.

The Hong Kong trip also brought a trophy. ALLDAY PROJECT won Best New International Group at the 2026 TIMA, a category for emerging acts from outside the domestic market. The win was reported on Aug. 24. MK

Member Annie told Billboard the five members come from very different backgrounds, with different strengths and weaknesses. She described them instead as five best friends chasing one dream together. The chemistry is deliberate. It comes, in her account, from accepting what each person brings and where each person needs support.

That idea carried into the discussion of their music. Their debut single, their first commercial release as a group, is titled “Famous”. Member Bailey said the song connects with the group on a deeper level and feels authentic in sound and lyrics. Billboard later named “Famous” one of the best K-pop songs of 2025, a selection made by its own editorial team.

Off stage, the members said that closeness continues. Annie said they choose to hang out together when they are not working. Member Tarzzan described that off-duty behaviour in simple terms, saying the group loves to hang out together and be silly like children.

They hang out anyway. It is a short description, but it matches Annie’s point about friendship sitting at the centre of the line-up.

Billboard said its travel and accommodation for the TIMA Honors were covered by Billboard China.
