A Reform UK activist seeking to stand for Parliament told an undercover reporter that asylum seekers who cross the Channel should be put in "concentration camps". The exchange was recorded as part of an ITV undercover investigation into the party, with footage due to be broadcast on Sunday, The Guardian reported.

The same activist also told the reporter that "you cannot be a Muslim and British". ITV has described the man as an aspiring MP, but his name has not been disclosed in the accounts published so far.

The investigation also recorded Alan Feeney, who has resigned as a Reform councillor for Solihull and Birmingham. He was secretly recorded calling Asian homeowners "parasites" and saying that no more than 1% of the British population can be non-white, according to the same reporting.

ITV said its findings raise fresh questions about Nigel Farage's promise to remove extremists from Reform UK, ITV reported. An earlier part of the investigation had filmed several members of Nigel Farage's Reform UK, including elected local-level politicians, making racist, sexual and violent remarks, Reuters reported.

Reform UK said it had opened investigations where activists or members had "clearly behaved inappropriately" and that there is "no room for racism" in the party.
