Bob Dylan Opens Lights of Autumn Tour in Oslo With Rarities and a First-Time Cover

Bob Dylan opened his Lights of Autumn Tour at Oslo Spektrum in Oslo, Norway, with a 19-track set built around long-rested songs and a cover he had never played live before.
He stayed at electric keyboard for the entire night, according to Stereogum. The show opened with 'To Be Alone With You' followed by 'Man in the Long Black Coat', as reported by Rolling Stone.
Two revivals carried the longest gaps. Dylan played 'Crash on the Levee (Down in the Flood)' for the first time since 2005. He then played 'Tangled Up in Blue' for the first time since 2018, in a stripped-down torch ballad arrangement with altered lyrics.
The biggest surprise came from another writer's catalogue. Dylan performed Randy Newman's 1974 song 'Louisiana 1927' live for the first time. Before Oslo, he had never performed any song from Newman's catalogue in concert. He also played Guy Clark's 'Dublin Blues' during the set.
The band on stage included Joel Paterson on guitar, Anton Fig on drums and long-serving bassist Tony Garnier. The Oslo opener brought Dylan's sixth guitarist change in the past five months. Dylan did not introduce his bandmates or address the crowd during the show.
For fans, this means the new run is starting as a moving setlist rather than a fixed show. Old originals are returning in new shapes, and other songwriters are getting space alongside them.
The tour continues in Scandinavia. Dylan's official on-tour page lists Scandinavium in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 19 Oct 2026, followed by Forum in Horsens, Denmark, on 21 Oct 2026.
