Previews are paid performances before opening night, when the company is still locking in timing and technical cues. Opening night is the official launch, the performance critics review. This production previewed for almost three weeks before its Oct. 18 opening. Playbill
For first-time buyers, this means the calendar matters. A fall production that opens in October plays through the holiday weeks. Tickets bought now are part of the advance, tickets already sold for future performances.
