Miley Cyrus took on her critics from the stage at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday night.

The singer told the second-night crowd she is "fully present" when she performs and would not accept questions about where her heart is on stage. The remarks answered online criticism of her Friday night comeback show, as reported by Rolling Stone.

That criticism accused Cyrus of not fully investing herself in the performance because she did not sing every word of the songs. Cyrus dismissed the reaction as clickbait videos about the Friday show.

She made the point bluntly during her performance of her single "Bass Persuades". Mid-song, she told the audience: "Oh I forgot, I'm supposed to sing every fucking word." The crowd cheered.

The exchange followed a long-awaited return. Cyrus had not performed live in four years before Friday night, according to the same report.

Friday was her first full headlining show in years, as noted by the Los Angeles Times. It was also the first show built around her latest album, "Bass Persuades", which came out in September, and the first of two sold-out nights at the Bowl. Variety and Billboard confirmed those details.

The Friday set included a tribute to Dolly Parton and a guest appearance from Wayne Coyne, as reported by Rolling Stone.

For fans, this means the two Bowl nights stand alone for now. Cyrus does not currently have any further tour dates scheduled.
