Nathalie Harrison to join Jesse Tyler Ferguson in Tru at the Menier

Nathalie Harrison will join Jesse Tyler Ferguson in Tru at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London, taking over the role of The Swan for the rest of the run.
The casting change was confirmed on 19 October 2026. Harrison replaces Charlotte d’Amboise. She will play the part through to the end of the London run, according to WhatsOnStage.
That run continues until 14 November. The announcement lands in the final few weeks. Audiences booking now will see Harrison opposite Ferguson.
Harrison is a former dancer with The Royal Ballet. It is a background built on live performance. Night after night. No second takes.
Tru is a play by Jay Presson Allen, as noted by London Theatre. The London staging is directed by Rob Ashford. It stars Ferguson and is running at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
Ferguson plays Truman Capote. Capote is the American writer behind Breakfast at Tiffany’s and In Cold Blood. The play keeps him centre stage.
The engagement also marks Ferguson’s Menier Chocolate Factory debut, according to BroadwayWorld. The Menier is a small, intimate room. It seats around 180 people. Performers and audience share the same air.
Late replacements are part of theatre life. A standby or alternate often steps in at short notice. Here the production has recast a principal role outright. That means fresh rehearsals and a new dynamic in a short space of time.
What makes this stand out is the timing. A two-person show leaves nowhere to hide. Every look lands. Every pause is heard.
For fans, this means the closing weeks will feel distinct from opening weeks. Same script. Same staging. A different chemistry. Those holding tickets for late October and early November will see Harrison as The Swan.
The change does not alter the closing date. The production still ends on 14 November. The countdown is on.
