Mary-Louise Parker Joins Apple TV's Guilty Creatures in Recurring Role

Mary-Louise Parker has joined Apple TV's Guilty Creatures in a recurring role, meaning she will appear in multiple episodes outside the main cast. The casting was first reported by Deadline on 19 Oct. She joins a true-crime thriller led by Julia Garner.
Garner stars in the upcoming Apple TV series and also executive produces, meaning she helps oversee the show creatively and financially. Lewis Pullman stars opposite Garner, according to Variety. Maddie Hasson was previously announced as a cast member.
The story is an adaptation for television. Sarah DeLappe adapted the scripts from Mikita Brottman's book Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida. The series is set around sex and murder in the Florida Panhandle.
It centres on a torrid romance and murder involving two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers. The plot then follows their 18 years living as killers. The cast keeps growing.
Behind the camera, Craig Gillespie is the director. Stuart Zicherman is the showrunner, meaning he leads day-to-day creative decisions on the series. Zicherman and DeLappe also serve as executive producers, alongside author Brottman.
The series is produced by Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner. Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner executive produce through Tomorrow Studios. Garner executive produces through Alma Margo, while Gillespie and Annie Marter executive produce through Fortunate Jack Productions.
The role brings Pullman back to television and back to Apple TV. For Parker, it follows her starring part as Ms. Sigsby in the MGM+ horror series The Institute. The second season of that show is set to premiere on 8 Nov. Parker is repped by CAA.
What makes this stand out is the shape of the ensemble. A limited group of leads now has an experienced recurring player added around them, ahead of a true-crime story built on one book and one long aftermath.
