The San Francisco 49ers will try to stay perfect under the lights on Monday, 19 October, when they host the Washington Commanders to close Week 6.

Kickoff at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, is set for 8:15 p.m. ET, which is 5:15 p.m. local time in California and 1:15 a.m. BST on Tuesday, 20 October in Britain The Guardian. It is the week's Monday Night Football game, the league's standalone primetime showcase to end the weekend slate.

San Francisco arrives at 5-0, the fast start intact after a 32-29 win at Seattle the week before The Guardian. Washington arrives at 1-3-1 — one win, three losses and one tie — after a strange 27-27 draw with the New York Giants. Ties are rare in the NFL, possible only when overtime fails to settle it, and they count as half a win in the standings.

The Commanders will have to manage without running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who is out with a groin injury. That puts more on the passing game and the next backs up on the depth chart, especially on early downs where San Francisco likes to force teams into long yardage.

In the United States, the game airs on ESPN and ABC. Fans can also stream it on the ESPN app or Fubo, with additional streaming through NFL+ listed by the team The Guardian. There is more than one way to hear it, too. ESPN2 will carry an alternate broadcast, part of two alternate viewing options for the night, for viewers who want a different crew or a more conversational call.

Outside the U.S., coverage stretches across time zones. In Canada, the game is on TSN1/3/4 or CTV2, with RDS2 carrying French-language coverage, and streaming on DAZN or Fubo Sports Pro. In the United Kingdom, it is on Sky Sports NFL and Sky Sports Main Event, streaming with NOW or NFL Game Pass on DAZN.

For fans, this means a classic late-night contrast. San Francisco has stacked wins. Washington is searching for footing. Monday night gives both a full stage to show where they stand.
