All five seasons of Orphan Black are now streaming on HBO Max and Peacock.

The US agreements are co-exclusive, meaning both services can offer the complete series at the same time. Viewers do not need to pick one app to find it. Boat Rocker Studios closed the new deals, as reported by Deadline.

The structure behind the announcement is typical of how library television moves. A licensing deal rents a streamer the right to show a series for a period, without transferring ownership. A co-exclusive deal shares that right between two buyers in the same market. In this case, Boat Rocker Studios and BBC Studios jointly distribute Orphan Black in the US, while BBC Studios distributes the series internationally.

The show itself arrives as a finished story. It debuted in 2013. Tatiana Maslany stars as Sarah Manning. It was produced by Boat Rocker Studios in association with BBC America and CTV Sci-Fi Channel. The run won the 2014 Peabody Award for Drama.

That history matters for catalogues. Streamers buy completed series to give subscribers something whole to watch from start to finish. Five seasons in one place removes the hunt across apps. Two platforms carrying it at once widens the potential audience.

Boat Rocker also manages the global Orphan Black franchise. In television, that job sits apart from day-to-day distribution. It covers the brand as a whole, including new versions and the life of the original.

The wider plan was already public. In July 2022, AMC Networks announced that Krysten Ritter would star in and executive produce a new Boat Rocker series set in the same world, then slated to debut in 2023, according to AMC Networks. Boat Rocker was attached to produce that latest instalment and to distribute it globally.

For fans, this means simple access. Five seasons. Two apps. Pick your home screen and start at the beginning.
