Pauline Hanson has apologised for a One Nation video that mocked Jacqui Lambie over a health condition Lambie disclosed in parliament, saying she had not seen the clip before it was posted.

Hanson said she had asked the creator of the party's Please Explain cartoon to change it. She said she was not aware of its content before publication, but took responsibility because the videos bear her name. The Guardian

The cartoon depicted Lambie saying "I can't laugh because of my prolapsed vagina," followed by a crude sound effect mocking the condition. It was the latest instalment in One Nation's "Please Explain" satirical video series.

In August 2026, Lambie, the Tasmanian independent senator, spoke in the upper house about her struggles with vaginal prolapse and lack of access to care for female veterans. She has said her vaginal and bladder prolapse was directly linked to back injuries from her time serving, and described making the disclosure in an emotional speech.

Lambie described the cartoon as "nasty". She said going public with her prolapse condition did not make her health "fair game".

Hanson initially told Lambie to "have a bit of a laugh" and "lighten up" over the cartoon. Her apology came a day after she told Lambie to "get over" it, according to ABC News.

Hanson said the cartoon "needs to be reined in". She apologised, saying it was not as tastefully done as it could have been.
