Berlin-based Picture Tree International has picked up international sales on German comedy Raging Moms' (Komplizinnen'), and will launch it to buyers next month.

The company will hold a market premiere — a first screening staged for distributors, not the public — at the American Film Market, the annual buying event where completed films and packages are sold territory by territory, as reported by Variety.

That sale puts the film on the international calendar. In Germany, Leonine Studios will release it in cinemas on Jan. 21, according to Variety.

`Raging Moms' is written and directed by Sonja Heiss. The ensemble is led by Laura Tonke, Heike Makatsch, Katharina Marie Schubert and Anne Ratte-Polle, with Tom Schilling, Christoph Maria Herbst and Trystan Pütter also in the cast.

Behind the camera, it is a Wiedemann & Berg Film production. Producers are Johanna Bergel, Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann.

Funding came from four German film bodies: DFFF, FFA, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and FFF Bayern. Such backing is common for German features. It spreads risk early and helps lock a domestic release.

Heiss arrives with recent awards form. Her previous feature, `When Will It Be Again Like It Never Was Before,' earned her a German Film Award nomination for Best Director.

For buyers outside Germany, this means a finished package. A known director, a cast familiar to German audiences and a home date already set.

Picture Tree is bringing more than one title to the market. Its AFM slate also includes a newly remastered 4K version of Oliver Hirschbiegel's The Experiment' and Constantin Film's The Perfect Holiday,' director Bora Dagtekin's sequel to `The Perfect Secret,' as reported by Variety.
