Percy Jackson stars to unveil Season 3 footage at Lucca

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri are taking Percy Jackson and the Olympians to Italy.

The three stars will appear at Lucca Comics and Games Festival in late October with unseen footage from Season 3. The new season is scheduled for release on Nov. 20, according to Variety.

That timing makes Lucca an early look. Fans there will see material weeks before the season arrives for everyone else.

The setting is distinctive. The festival takes place inside the 16th-century walls of a medieval Tuscan town and draws more than 200,000 fans each year, Variety reported. This year’s edition is the 60th anniversary of Lucca Comics & Games, with Disney+ returning to the event with Percy Jackson as its centrepiece, according to the festival’s programme.

A festival listing puts a Percy Jackson panel featuring Scobell on Oct. 29. Lucca is being used as a key stop on a major promotional tour for the series, backed by Disney.

The festival’s film and TV strand, known as Area Movie, is programmed with Milan-based entertainment marketing company QMI. QMI is headed by Giovanni Cova.

For fans, this means a rare chance to watch the cast together outside a premiere. Lucca started as a comics gathering and now mixes comics, games, film and television, so a streaming fantasy series fits straight into its main hall programme.
