Video game website VGC has played its first-ever live show to a packed room in Glasgow.

The night took over Oran Mor on Friday, October 16, 2026. Tickets were sold directly by the venue, and the date had been locked in since early in the year after VGC's Christmas Patreon drive made the show possible.

Jordan Middler, Chris Scullion and Andy Robinson brought VGC: The Video Game Podcast, the site's weekly chat show, to a stage for the first time, according to Video Games Chronicle. They were joined by guests Pete Donaldson and Keza MacDonald.

The set ran through headlines and behind-the-scenes stories from VGC's first seven years. It was part news recap, part storytelling. Short reports sat alongside the kind of backstage tales that never make it into print.

Some in the room had travelled a long way to be there. Members of the VGC community flew in from as far as the United States to join the Glasgow weekend. For a small, reader-supported outlet, that is a loyal crowd.

There was merch too. The first VGC has ever produced. An event poster designed by artist Wil Overton and a custom T-shirt were available only to people in the room, with the shirt also offered on pre-order before the night.

Then came the caffeine test. Developer GSC Game World supplied 264 cans of its Stalker Limited Edition Non-Stop energy drink. The team cracked them open and reviewed them live on stage.

Those who missed the night will still get to see it. The filmed version of the Glasgow show will be released later in the year for VGC Patreon subscribers, the paying members who back the site month to month.

What makes this stand out is how hands-on it felt. A live podcast, exclusive merch, a full venue and an on-stage taste test. Glasgow got the first one.
