EverWonder Studio signs Newman and Golembewski to production deals

EverWonder Studio has struck production deals with directors Zeberiah Newman and Vanessa Golembewski to develop and direct new unscripted projects, meaning documentaries and other shows made without a script.
The agreements were reported by Deadline on 20 October 2026. Both filmmakers will work with the studio's unscripted team, led by executive vice-president Jon Adler and senior vice-president Amanda Spain. An executive producer oversees a project creatively and financially from development to delivery.
Newman will direct and produce documentaries built around intimate human stories with social commentary. He previously directed Stop The Insanity: Finding Susan Powter, Hulu's Unleashing Hope with Rosie O'Donnell and Living Proof with Sheryl Lee Ralph. Before directing, he worked as a producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Golembewski will direct and produce unscripted projects rooted in pop culture and character-driven storytelling. She was an executive producer of Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model, the EverWonder-made series for Netflix. That series opened at No. 1 on Netflix's English-language TV chart with 14.2M views in its first week, according to figures cited by Deadline.
She is also an executive producer of Clap If You Care: The Wendy Williams Show, a forthcoming three-part docuseries for Peacock. A docuseries tells one story across several episodes. More details on that project have not been disclosed.
EverWonder is the company behind Reality Check, as well as Hanging By A Wire and Netflix's Chris & Martina: The Final Set. The studio is backed by an entity linked to former CNN chief Jeff Zucker and RedBird IMI, and was co-founded in 2023 by Ian Orefice and Michael Antinoro. It describes itself as a full-service nonfiction studio based in New York.
Newman is represented by Kroos Entertainment Group.
For viewers, this means two proven documentary makers now have a home for their next ideas. Expect more personality-led stories. And if Reality Check's fast start is any guide, EverWonder will be aiming for the charts again.
