JustWatch launches its own streaming service in 11 countries

JustWatch launched its own streaming service, JustWatch TV, on 20 October across 11 countries, Deadline reported. The service lives inside the company's existing apps and website. Those apps and website already reach 50 million users.
The pitch is simple. Search for a film or programme. Watch it in the same place. No extra download is needed to get started.
JustWatch TV mixes free and paid viewing. Free ad-supported video-on-demand titles, meaning films and programmes that cost nothing to watch and carry adverts, sit alongside transactional titles, meaning titles viewers rent or buy one by one. A premium tier drops the adverts for $3.99 per month.
The launch footprint covers the U.S., Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. Viewers in those markets can find the new offer inside the familiar JustWatch search experience. That matters because the audience does not have to learn a new app.
The starting catalogue comes from 30 initial content partners from the U.S. and other countries. The line-up is organised by territory, so different suppliers serve different markets. Named partners include Cineverse in the U.S., Leonine Studios in Germany, SND in France, and Altitude in the UK and Ireland.
Previously announced suppliers also include Paramount, New Regency, Fremantle, Bleecker Street and Vortex Media. Together the group points to a mix of Hollywood and independent supply alongside local distributors. The company had earlier pointed to an October 2026 launch with films and TV programmes, and that plan has now landed.
Behind the service is JustWatch Group, a Berlin-based organisation founded in 2014. Founder and chief executive is David Croye. The group employs more than 200 people across its headquarters in Berlin and offices in L.A., London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Munich, Dubai and Sydney.
For viewers, this means one less jump between apps. Find a title. Press play. Stay put.
