Gram Parsons tribute at Troubadour to precede Rock Hall induction

Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, the Black Crowes and Margo Price will headline a tribute to Gram Parsons at the Troubadour on Nov. 11, three days before his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The show is titled A Song for Gram, a turn on Parsons' 1973 track "A Song for You," and is presented by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, according to Rolling Stone. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, Oct. 22.
The bill brings together several generations of performers linked to Parsons' country-rock songbook. The Head and the Heart, Grahame Lesh, Harper Simon, Grace Potter, Jesse Welles, Jim Lauderdale and Madison Cunningham are also listed to perform. Beachwood Sparks are billed to provide "cosmic accompaniment" through the night.
The timing packs three milestones into nine days. Parsons would have turned 80 on Nov. 5. The tribute follows on Nov. 11. The induction ceremony takes place on Nov. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Parsons will enter the Hall with the Early Influence Award, the category for artists whose work shaped rock and roll from outside the standard eligibility route. He will receive it alongside Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah and MC Lyte.
The wider 2026 class also includes performer inductees Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan, according to the Hall's inductee listing. The ceremony is set to debut on ABC and Disney+ in December, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has confirmed.
Proceeds from A Song for Gram will benefit two charities, the Friendly House Foundation and Backline. Both work in recovery and mental health support, with Backline focused on music industry workers and their families.
For fans, this means a rare chance to see the catalogue played live in a small room in the same week it gets a formal place in rock history. The Troubadour holds only a few hundred people. The Peacock Theater holds thousands.
