Original Mischief stars return to West End Christmas Carol Goes Wrong for two weeks

Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer will rejoin the West End cast of Christmas Carol Goes Wrong for two weeks in January 2027. Both men will play their original roles, Robert and Dennis, at Wyndham's Theatre from 14 to 23 January, according to WhatsOnStage.
Both actors belong to Mischief, the comedy company that created the show. Lewis and Sayer are two of the three writers, along with Henry Shields. Matt DiCarlo directed the production. In the West End it is produced by Kenny Wax and Stage Presence.
The show's current West End run at Wyndham's began on 18 December 2026 and runs until 23 January 2027. Lewis and Sayer will therefore join the cast during the final weeks of that run. An extra matinee has been added on Wednesday 20 January, so the pair will perform on that date as well.
The production first opened at the Apollo Theatre in London in 2025, and WhatsOnStage reports that it played to sold-out houses there. The Mischief company's own website also lists a UK tour of the show, which follows the Cornley Amateur Drama Society as it takes on Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
The show is also heading across the Atlantic. The Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles lists it in its 2026-27 season, presented by Center Theatre Group, a non-profit theatre organisation. The listing gives a running time of 2 hours 20 minutes, including one interval, with tickets starting at $37.95.
For West End audiences, the news is mostly about timing. The two writer-performers return for a short stint at the end of the London run, and the extra matinee gives a little more room to see them. Anyone hoping to catch them should check Wyndham's Theatre for the performance times and prices for those dates.
