Giles Terera will play Ebenezer Scrooge in the Old Vic's tenth anniversary production of A Christmas Carol.

The London theatre announced the full company on 24 September for the festive return, which runs from 10 November 2026 to 9 January 2027. The press performance, the show critics are invited to review, is on 24 November WhatsOnStage.

Matthew Warchus directs. Jack Thorne adapted Charles Dickens's story for this staging.

Terera leads a 19-strong adult company. Carly Bawden plays Belle, Ewan Black plays Fred and Khalid Daley plays Young Ebenezer. Geraint Downing plays Ferdy/George and Edward Harrison plays Father/Marley.

Kirsty MacLaren plays Little Fan. Aiesha Naomi plays the Ghost of Christmas Present and Mrs Fezziwig in a dual role. Jack North plays Bob Cratchit and Gleanne Purcell-Brown plays Mrs Cratchit.

Claire O'Leary plays Jess and Alastair Parker plays Fezziwig. Nuwan Hugh Perera plays Nicholas and the Schoolmaster. Annie Wensak plays the Ghost of Christmas Past.

Hollie Jane Stephens joins as Swing and Dance Captain, with Sam Stones as Swing. A swing is an off-stage cover who can step into several roles.

The role of Tiny Tim will be shared by four young performers: Imuujin Bayarsaikhan, Freddie Merritt, Veronica Aeryn Onu and Hannah Slater.

Bucket collections held during the show have raised more than £2.3m globally over the past nine years, according to the production. This year's collections will support FoodCycle, a charity that serves community meals WhatsOnStage.

What makes this stand out is the staying power. Ten years is a long life for a seasonal show. This cast takes it into double figures.
