E! reality series The Golden Life is getting a second home. Versant, the company that controls E!, has confirmed a licensing deal that puts the show on Hulu in the U.S. A licensing deal means one service pays to show a programme that another company made and owns.

The show follows five legacy stars of The Real Housewives of New York City: Kelly Bensimon, Countess Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer. In the series, they move to Palm Beach, Florida, and spend their time at yacht parties, polo-league events, a girls' weekend in Miami and shop-and-sip evenings in luxury boutiques. The show is produced by Blink49 Studios.

The series premiered on E! on Tuesday, October 20, and new episodes air weekly on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers on cable can watch it there first. Streaming comes next.

According to Deadline, the first two episodes will be available on Hulu from November 3. Subscribers to the Hulu on Disney+ bundle, a package that combines the two services, can watch them from the same date. After that, each new episode arrives on Hulu seven days after its E! premiere. That gives fans a one-week gap between cable and streaming.

The deal builds on an earlier arrangement. Versant already licenses U.S. streaming rights to Keeping Up With the Kardashians on Hulu. Val Boreland, President of Entertainment at Versant, is the executive overseeing the company's entertainment slate.

Versant is the spinoff that took over a group of cable channels previously owned by NBCUniversal. Its shows have been spread across cable and streaming platforms in the same way.

For viewers, the change is simple. Anyone who missed a week on E! can catch up on Hulu a week later, and the bundle gives subscribers a way in from the start. The first episodes arrive on November 3, a little over two weeks after the cable premiere.

Nothing has been announced beyond the U.S. release. The licensing details, including financial terms, were not part of the announcement.
