Netflix has released a new set of photos for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, the David Fincher film starring Brad Pitt, according to Deadline. The pictures are credited to Netflix and marked as courtesy of the streamer, © 2026.

Pitt returns as Cliff Booth, the stunt double at the centre of the story. Quentin Tarantino wrote the screenplay. The film is set in 1977, eight years after the events of the earlier film Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. Peter Weller plays Gus Booth, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays Hot Rod Harrison. Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino and Corey Fogelmanis are also in the cast.

The release plan has two stages. Deadline reported in September that the film will open in IMAX for a two-week run starting on November 25, before arriving on Netflix on December 23. Netflix's own Tudum site gives the same two dates.

The cinema stage matters because of the theatrical window, the period a film plays in cinemas before it reaches a streaming service or home screens. Here the window is short and fixed. Viewers who want to see the film on a big screen have two weeks in November to do it. After that, the film is due on Netflix in December.

Netflix released an official trailer and a detailed description in September, as Variety and The Hollywood Reporter both reported. The trailer also confirmed the December 23 streaming date.

Book fans have a second date to note. Variety and The Hollywood Reporter reported in September that Tarantino is set to publish a novel about Cliff Booth, timed to coincide with the film's release. Neither report gave a publication date, so the book's launch is best watched for in the weeks ahead.

The film's official title came in August, when The Hollywood Reporter reported that Netflix had settled on The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. The new photos are the latest step in a campaign that has now run for months, and the November and December dates are the ones to plan around.
