Jane Levy has nudged fans toward a return to the Evil Dead series. At a question-and-answer session after a screening of Fede Álvarez's 2013 Evil Dead, she asked the audience whether Mia should come back, and the crowd applauded, Deadline reported on 21 October.

Levy, who played the lead in that reboot, joked that she might ring Sam Raimi's Skype number to ask whether he wanted Mia back. Raimi made the original trilogy: The Evil Dead (1981), Evil Dead II (1987) and Army of Darkness (1993). Her remarks stopped short of a casting announcement.

The franchise has changed hands and tone several times since. Bruce Campbell returned as Ash for a cameo in the 2013 film and then led the Starz series Ash vs Evil Dead, which ran from 2015 to 2018. Lee Cronin's Evil Dead Rise, released in 2023, took the series in a new, darker direction. Mia did not appear in that film. According to an interview with Collider, Levy chose to step away from horror because the genre is demanding.

The next project on the calendar is Evil Dead Wrath, a prequel directed by Francis Galluppi and set in 1972. It is scheduled to premiere on 7 April 2028. Producer Robert Tapert told Deadline that it is "another great departure for the franchise." Sébastien Vaniček's Evil Dead Burn came out in summer 2026.

A rumour has also circulated that Levy could appear in Evil Dead Wrath as Mia. A report from iHorror in September linked her to a test screening. New Line, the studio behind the project, has not confirmed it.

For fans, the moment is a reminder of how long Mia has been part of the conversation. Levy's crowd response suggests that the audience wants her back. Whether a studio agrees is a separate decision, and for now that decision has not been announced.
