The UK's AI Minister, Kanishka Narayan, has said that 500 new vulnerabilities have been found in government. Vulnerabilities are weaknesses in computer systems that could be exploited by attackers. Mr Narayan gave the figure in an interview with the BBC.
In the same interview, he said the UK had previously used AI to find hundreds of flaws in government systems. The interview did not set out which systems were tested or when that work took place.
The AI Minister is the government minister responsible for artificial intelligence policy. Mr Narayan's remarks were made in a short video interview.
