HarperCollins UK has launched Wildlit, a new adult fiction imprint that will begin publishing in June 2027. An imprint is a publisher's own branded label inside a larger company, with its own list of books and its own identity.

Publishers Marketplace reports that Wildlit will publish bold, commercial, page-turning fiction across genres. Romance is the connecting thread. That means a love story or romantic relationship is what links the titles, even when the books sit in different genres.

Lindsey Heaven will lead Wildlit as publisher, the senior role responsible for the imprint's list and direction. Sarah Levison has been named publishing director, a senior editorial post that oversees the books as they are shaped and prepared for print.

The Bookseller describes Wildlit as created to serve "one of publishing's most passionate and fast-growing audiences." The phrase points to romance readers as the group the list is built around.

Launch announcements like this one are about the team and the plan. The first Wildlit books are more than eight months away, so readers will have a while to wait for them.

For anyone who has ever borrowed a novel from a library, the news carries a quiet note. A new imprint's first titles usually reach shelves through bookshops and, later, libraries, where readers can borrow them without paying. The journey from a publisher's list to a library shelf is a long one, and it starts with an announcement like this.
