Screenwriting platform Stage 32 has launched a marketplace that puts film and TV projects in front of 3,000 industry executives, Deadline reported on 22 October 2026.

Think of it as a shop window for scripts. Executives, the people who decide what studios and production companies make, can check a creator's credentials, download scripts and materials, and ask for a meeting. Only scripts that receive exceptional valuations, meaning they score very highly in the platform's assessment, make it onto the marketplace.

The launch carried more than 4,000 projects. Each one has been vetted through a human evaluation process, so people read the work rather than a machine ranking it. Stage 32 says it has evaluated 235,000 projects since it started in 2011.

The platform is run by Richard Botto, a screenwriter and producer who is a member of the Writers Guild of America. He also produced Another Happy Day, which won an award at the Sundance Film Festival.

The marketplace is meant in part to push back against a flood of AI-written projects. Stage 32 has a strict no-AI policy, Deadline reports. For writers, that means every listing is a script a person has read and judged worth showing.

Some of the platform's work has already moved beyond the page. Two projects that started on Stage 32 are NO ADDRESS, starring William Baldwin, and Thriller Neighborhood Watch, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jack Quaid. Deadline's report lists both titles among the platform's success stories.

In its own announcement on 20 October 2026, Stage 32 said more than 1,000 of its members have been signed, optioned, sold or put into development. Signed means a writer has agreed to work with a representative or company. Optioned means a producer has paid to hold the rights to a script for a set period, while deciding whether to make it.

Stage 32 also has its own contest coming up. Its International Screenwriting Contest announcement is scheduled for 30 October 2026, according to the platform's website.

For now, the marketplace is open to executives and listed writers. Whether the listings lead to more deals will become clearer as the 1,000-plus members' projects move through the system.
