Amazon MGM Studios has licensed The Telepathy Tapes, a feature documentary based on Ky Dickens' podcast of the same name. The film will stream on Prime Video from 24 February 2027, The Hollywood Reporter reported on 22 October 2026.

Dickens directed and produced the film. Nicole Danielle and Jess Zaino produced alongside her.

The podcast debuted in September 2024. It explored the idea that nonspeaking people, meaning people who do not use spoken words, can communicate telepathically. The show was built around interviews and recordings, and it set out to test that claim over a run of episodes.

The series picked up recognition as it grew. It won a Webby Award, and it was nominated for iHeartRadio's podcast of the year. By 2025, it had been named the top series, the most shared show and the top episode on Apple's podcast charts, according to the same trade report.

The audio story also kept going. It spawned two follow-up seasons, The Consciousness Cassettes and The Reincarnation Records. That gave the team a long run of material to draw on, and the documentary is the next step in that run.

For listeners, the change is one of format. A podcast is heard, usually while doing something else. A feature documentary asks for a full screen and a sitting. The film will reach viewers through Prime Video, which Amazon runs as its streaming service, rather than through cinemas.

The licence sits in a busy part of the industry. Studios and streamers have been looking at proven titles from audio and print, because an audience already knows the name. Here, that audience has already been measured on the podcast charts and at awards shows.

For now, the dates are the firm details. The film arrives on Prime Video on 24 February 2027, and the podcast's three seasons remain available to listen to in their original form.
