Italy has issued a postage stamp honouring Laura Biagiotti, the fashion company, and the stamp went on sale on 22 October 2026. The stamp was released by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, the government department that handles industry and the country's "Made in Italy" label, which marks goods designed and made in Italy.

The stamp has a face value of EUR 1.30 and will be printed in 180,000 units. Its design shows the brand logo on a cashmere cable-knit pattern, a knitting technique that produces raised, rope-like ridges, according to WWD.

The brand was founded in 1965 by Delia Biagiotti, the same report says. Laura Biagiotti died in 2017. Her company is now led by Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna, who is president of Biagiotti Group.

The launch ceremony took place in the Sala della Protomoteca, a hall in the ministry's building in Rome. Adolfo Urso, the minister for enterprises and Made in Italy, attended. So did Giovanni Machetti, head of philately at Poste Italiane, the national postal company, and Francesca Marino, a board member of Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, the state printing and minting house that produces Italian stamps.

The stamp is part of a thematic series titled "Excellence of the productive system and Made in Italy". The ministry's 2026 stamp issuance programme, dated 21 September 2026, lists three stamps under the heading of fashion excellences. Besides Laura Biagiotti, they cover the leather-goods house Bottega Veneta and the fragrance company Acqua di Parma. The programme scheduled all three for 22 October.

Thematic series are how Italy's postal system marks subjects it wants to recognise on a national scale, and a stamp is a small, widely handled object. For a brand, a stamp puts its name in front of anyone who buys post in Italy.
