Louis Partridge to Star in and Produce Coming-of-Age Indie One Last Summer

Louis Partridge will star in and produce One Last Summer, a coming-of-age indie film, according to an exclusive report from Deadline published on 23 October 2026.
The story is set over a single weekend in the Tuscan countryside. Partridge plays Milo, who returns to the house of his late father, a man he was estranged from. Jude Carmichael plays Milo's best friend, Zac. Mia Jenkins also co-stars.
Misha Citron wrote and directed the film. Partridge and Citron co-founded Pipe Dream Films, the company that housed the production. Filming has wrapped in Tuscany, Italy.
Jim Parks produces the film alongside Maya Nurmohamed and Saskia Steinberg. Nurmohamed and Steinberg are producers with Blue Lobster Productions.
The set-up is a little unusual. In many films, the star arrives after the project is already built. Here, the lead actor is also a co-founder of the company behind the film, so he sits on both sides of the table. Producers handle money, schedules and the rest of the business, while actors focus on the performance. Partridge's name appears in both roles.
Indie films like this one often rely on small teams and tight budgets. Shooting in one location, with a story that unfolds across a weekend, keeps the logistics contained. The film's path from the Tuscan set to audiences will depend on decisions still to come, such as distribution and release plans, and none of those have been announced.
For now, the news is the cast, the crew and the location. A father who is gone, a son who comes back, and a best friend along for the ride make up the core of the story.
