Prince William has told a television audience that he is a big fan of Christopher Nolan's films, and in particular the Batman movies. He made the remarks on BBC One's The Graham Norton Show, according to Deadline.

The Prince said he is a fan of everything Nolan does. He described The Dark Knight series as psychologically dark and deep, and said he absolutely loves it. Nolan directed all three of the films in that series, which starred Christian Bale as Batman.

Nolan is not the only film-maker the Prince has praised in recent years. In 2024 he said he loved Oppenheimer, Nolan's film about the physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, as Yahoo UK reported at the time.

The Prince was on the show to talk about the Earthshot Prize, the environmental awards he founded. Other guests in the same episode were Cate Blanchett, Hannah Waddingham, Robert Irwin and Jorja Smith.

He also talked about television. He said he loves The Celebrity Traitors, the BBC reality game show, and that his family loves it too. He said his children, Charlotte and Louis, are obsessed with it.

One story stood out. He said he saw Ross Kemp the day after the first episode of the show and tried to touch him, to see how real he was. Kemp is one of the celebrities taking part in the series.

Football came up as well. The Prince talked about his love for Aston Villa, the Birmingham club he supports, according to AOL.

The episode was scheduled to air on BBC One at 10:40pm on Friday 23 October, the same day the remarks were reported.
