Fallout Shelter: The Experiment Heads to Prime Video on 13 January 2027

Prime Video will premiere Fallout Shelter: The Experiment on 13 January 2027, Amazon MGM Studios announced on 23 October 2026. The series is a reality competition, and it puts everyday people through drills and trials inside vault shelters from the Fallout universe.
The vaults belong to Vault-Tec, the fictional company that built the underground shelters in the Fallout games. Contestants live and work inside them as the challenges escalate. Amazon MGM Studios said the first season runs to ten episodes.
The first four episodes arrive on launch day, and the remaining episodes follow weekly. The series will stream exclusively on Prime Video, and it will be available in more than 240 countries and territories.
The winner takes home US$1 million, according to Eurogamer, which reported the premiere date on 24 October 2026.
Studio Lambert produces the show in co-production with Kilter Films. Bethesda Game Studios, the developer behind the main Fallout games, is involved in association. Todd Howard and James Altman are among the executive producers.
The Fallout franchise also has a game with the same name, Fallout Shelter. Bethesda has said new content is coming to that game, according to its Fallout Day roundup. The game and the television series share a setting.
For viewers, the date is the key detail. The show starts on 13 January 2027, with four episodes ready on the first day.
