Bill Murray Tees Off in A Course Called Ireland on Paramount+

Bill Murray's golf series A Course Called Ireland premieres on Paramount+ on 25 October. The show has six episodes, each 30 minutes long.
The series is based on Tom Coyne's 2009 book of the same name. The book follows Coyne as he walks across Ireland and plays its golf courses along the way. Paramount says the book is a New York Times bestseller. On screen, Murray and Coyne make the same journey together, playing course after course.
Murray is an executive producer, which means he helps oversee the project from behind the scenes. Skydance Sports is also a producer on the show, and the series involves both Paramount+ and the BBC.
The guest list includes Jason Kelce, Chris O'Dowd and the Murray brothers. Murray, Coyne and Kelce also co-own the Sullivan County Golf Club in the Catskills, a historic nine-hole course. That shared ownership is one reason the three men appear together so often in the project's publicity.
Murray and Coyne talked about the series in a joint interview with The Hollywood Reporter. In it, they discuss how the project came together and what it was like to make it.
For viewers, the show is a light, travel-style watch built around a single idea: two men, a stack of famous courses and a country they know well. Golf fans will recognise many of the names. Everyone else gets a trip through the Irish countryside, with a few famous faces along the way.
The series is on Paramount+, the streaming service, from 25 October.
