Adam Hose signs new Worcestershire contract to stay until 2029

Worcestershire batter Adam Hose has signed a new three-year contract that keeps him at the club until the end of the 2029 season. Worcestershire County Cricket Club announced the deal, which runs from New Road, the club's home ground in Worcester.
Hose first joined Worcestershire from Warwickshire before the 2023 season, and he was the club's first signing for that year. His original deal ran to the end of 2025. Over his time at the club he has scored more than 2,400 runs in 46 first-class matches, the longer, multi-day games played in England's county system. He has made 96 appearances in all formats, which covers the four-day, one-day and Twenty20 competitions.
The 2026 season was his most productive yet in terms of runs. BBC Sport reports that he scored 638 runs that year, including one century and five scores of 50 or more. Worcestershire finished fifth in Division Two, the second tier of the four-day county championship. Midway through that campaign, he was also made captain of the club's Twenty20 side, the short format where each team bats for 20 overs.
His season had a hard start to the year before that, though. In August 2025, Hose suffered a serious ankle injury while playing in The Hundred, the 100-ball competition. He then spent six months recovering before returning to play.
The club has been tying down its squad this autumn. Wicketkeeper-batter Gareth Roderick signed a new deal running until 2028 earlier this month, before Hose's renewal was confirmed.
For Worcestershire, the deal gives some certainty to a player who has held a central role in the batting order. For Hose, a Isle of Wight native, it means a longer stay at a club where he has spent most of his career since 2023. Contract details beyond the length of the deal have not been made public.
