LISA's six-song solo EP, Press Play, won Billboard's weekly new music poll with 87% of reader votes. Billboard published the poll on Friday, Oct. 23, the same day the EP was released.

An EP, short for extended play, is a release with fewer tracks than a full album. The EP is by LISA of BLACKPINK, and it arrived with a music video for the track "Tarantino." Billboard's weekly poll asks readers to choose their favourite of the week's new releases, so the 87% figure reflects reader votes, not sales or streams.

The releases trailing "Press Play" in the poll were Hilary Duff's "Holiday Things," John Mayer's "Tom and Jerry," ATEEZ's "Drop" and Miley Cyrus's "Cold Blooded."

LISA also holds a songwriting credit on all six tracks. A songwriting credit means her name is listed as a writer of the song. Writers usually earn a share of the royalties, the payments made when a song is streamed, sold or performed.

Live dates are next. LISA is scheduled for a mini Las Vegas residency, a run of shows at one venue, on Nov. 12-14 and Nov. 27-29. Residencies let fans see an artist in one place over several nights without the travel of a full tour.

The EP's win follows another recent honour. On Sept. 27, LISA won Best Pop at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards for the song "Dream," beating Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande in the category. The awards are voted on by fans and are one of the most visible prizes in pop music.

For anyone who missed the release, the EP is now the most recent result in a weekly poll that changes every seven days. The next result will show whether readers keep choosing the same record or move on to a new release.
