The Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen's Houthi movement said on October 26, 2026 that it had carried out a military operation aimed at neutralising sources of threat. Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said the forces destroyed four ballistic missile launchers, the platforms from which missiles that travel along a high arc are fired. Al Jazeera

Al-Maliki also said the forces destroyed five tunnels that the Houthis had used to store missiles, and attacked a missile depot. He said the operation focused on cutting off Houthi supply lines between areas under their control. It also targeted Houthi fortifications, gatherings of fighters and military equipment along front lines inside Yemen.

Al-Maliki said Saudi air defences intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis toward Riyadh, the Saudi capital. The coalition said it had degraded the Houthis' ability to strike targets inside Saudi Arabia. AP News Al-Maliki accused the Houthis of continuing to violate international humanitarian law, the body of rules governing conduct during armed conflict, by launching ballistic missiles.

The Iran-aligned Houthis said they had attacked Saudi Arabia's East-West crude oil pumping stations, which are part of the kingdom's main oil pipeline network. Reuters
