Valve's Personal Calendar, a release-date tool on the Steam store, is now available to everyone. Eurogamer reported the full release on 26 October 2026.

Steam is the PC game storefront run by Valve, where players buy, download and play games. The calendar lists upcoming games and recent releases in date order. It first appeared in October 2025 as a Steam Labs experiment, the section of the store where Valve tries out new features. Steam Labs listed it as Experiment 16, with an entry dated 21 October 2025. Valve tested the tool for nearly a year before the wider launch.

Valve announced the full release in a Steam Community announcement dated 23 October 2026. The calendar now has its own section on the store homepage, along with a dedicated page.

The list is personal. Each user sees recommendations that differ from those shown to other accounts. The system starts with a player's recently played games, then finds other players with similar playtime habits. It then looks at the games those players have played or added to their wishlist, a saved list of games to watch or buy later.

Only the games a person plays most heavily shape those picks. A title tried for a few minutes does not count. The recommendations refresh daily, and the calendar covers an eight-week horizon, so it looks only a couple of months ahead.

For anyone trying to keep track of new releases, the calendar puts upcoming and recent launches on one timeline. The picks change with each account's play history, so two people can open the same page and see different games.
